International

The REALTOR® Association of NorthWest Chicagoland (RANWC) International Council fosters and provides a platform for international real estate business opportunities and relationships which result in a better understanding of the global marketplace.  The intent of the council is to provide a forum for educational opportunities to those REALTORS® who have an interest in working with foreign nationals, either in the United States or foreign countries. In addition, the International Council aims at providing members with educational and networking opportunities with appropriate professional organizations.  The Council is a relatively new group founded in 2006 which translates into growth and expansion opportunities.  Their structure/identification is composed of regionally specific focus groups.  This strategy has been proven effective as a means to reach out to RANWC members. 

 

Group Objectives:

 

  • The Council functions as a basis for a referral network to help each other better understand and conduct real estate transactions throughout the world.
  • The Council functions as an international real estate resource to RANWC members which can result in a better understanding of the global market, minimizing liability, and fostering new business.
  • The Council effectively facilitates international education/networking events to benefit RANWC members with the possibility of eventually branching out to the local community.

In April of 2008, the REALTOR® Association of NorthWest Chicagoland was appointed by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) as the Ambassador Association to ANABIR/Honduras as part of their International Networks program.  RANWC is also a member of the World Trade Center of Illinois.  Below you will find instructions on how to subcribe to both NAR's weekly newsletter and International Real Estate Monthly Report which are both excellent resources to plug into.

NAR's Realtor.org offers a Weekly Newsletter that allows anyone with access to the site sign up to receive a weekly e-mail blurb with information specific to the topic or topics selected. "International" is one of approximately 15 topics available and its a great way to stay abreast of news and information from NAR International and also to let you know of new information that has been posted at this Web site. You may also choose to subscribe to the monthly "International Real Estate Report", that is delivered via email. Users may select as many topics or newsletters as they wish, and may unsubscribe at any time. There is no charge. Sign up now for these list-serves and newsletters at the NAR Profile Page. You will be prompted for your Realtor.org user ID and password.

NAR publishes a monthly electronic newsletter focusing on global resources for local markets for US REALTORS® called the International Real Estate Report. Information contained in the new electronic newsletter may be used in local REALTOR® association newsletters, web sites, or member personal marketing materials.
